When I'm traveling cross-country, one place I always make sure to visit is Cattlemen's in Oklahoma City. It's among the best steaks I've had anywhere in the US, and it consistently lives up to expectations. The ambiance is exactly what I look for in an Old West steakhouse. This time, however, I couldn't make it to Oklahoma City, so I decided to try the next best thing: Cattlemen's in Fort Worth, Texas. While the service wasn't quite as exceptional as at the Oklahoma City location, the steak was just as fantastic. The onion rings were another highlight—perfectly battered, not overly greasy, and incredibly tasty. Although the experience didn't quite match up to what I've had in OK, it was still worth the visit to enjoy a delicious steak in an authentic, old-time steakhouse setting.
