Cheers Boston was a fun experience. I have been a fan of the 80s sitcom Cheers for a few years now, and always wanted to make the trek to see the bar's namesake. Although the interior is completely different from what was seen in the show, the outside was very much the inspiration for the show, and the bar (downstairs) and restaurant (upstairs) appears generally identical to how it does in each episode's theme song. The gift shop had many items for sale, most if not all seeming to be good quality. I ended up purchasing a few for myself and family. One I particularly liked was a wall-mount bottle opener, which is perfect for my auto shop at home when I have a hankering for a Mexican (real) coke which comes in the retro glass bottle. As for the food, the burgers were delicious. Many places that have a built-in following often let the quality of the product dip because they know people will still show up regardless. That is not the case here. The burgers had flavor, fresh toppings, and there was a variety of them to choose from. One of the fun parts of the meal was being able to take home a glass beer mug with the name of the bar emblazoned on it. Although it won't be used for beer, it's a fun memento from a fun day in Boston.
