Magnum Helicopters

Honolulu, Hawaii

Jan. 6, 2024, noon

Magnum Helicopters was an amazing experience to top off a great trip to Hawaii. Located in Honolulu's main airport, the doors-off experience first travels through the outer parts of the airport, which makes for a fun and unusual trip through a major airport. It then crosses over Honolulu proper, showcasing all of the typical, and beautiful, sights in Hawaii's largest city. After seeing points of interest like the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the tour makes its way past one of Hawaii's most well-recognized landmarks: Diamond Head. The view from the air is even more breathtaking than from sea-level, and makes for one of the best introductions you could hope for from an air tour of Oahu. From there, the tour winds along with the coastline of the island, taking the tourist past such locations as Makapu‘u Lighthouse, Robin Master's Estate from the original 1980s Magnum, P.I. series, and many more. In the center of the island, the helicopter brushes just past the mountain peaks, giving the passenger the opportunity to see beautiful natural vistas close up, as well as other landmarks like the Sacred Falls. Finally, the tour concludes with a bird's eye view of Pearl Harbor, which is a must for any World War II history buff. The view is spectacular and the sight of the USS Arizona Memorial is solemn and dignified in its remembrance of our fallen heroes. And, if the description wasn't enough to sell you on this trip, the helicopter was used in the 2018 Magnum, P.I. reboot series during filming! If you visit Oahu, there is no better way to experience the wonder of the island than in a Magnum Helicopter. The gift shop didn't disappoint either 😃
